NALCO held a small exercise for the American Radio Relay League
Simulated Emergency Test on 6 October 2012. The intention was to deploy
operators to Berkeley, Albany and Herrick radio operating positions. The
goals were to check equipment operation, practice activation procedures
and handle simulated stakeholder message traffic. The SET was announced
at 1000 hours PST on 440.9 MHz. Operating positions at Berkeley, Albany
and Herrick were manned at 1100. Simulated traffic was handled between
1100 and 1141 hours.
