Solano Stroll

NALCO participated in the annual Solano Stroll on September 9. A directed net was established from a Command Post position in the Berkeley Fire Department tent at Colusa and Solano at 10AM on our 70cm repeater. After some equipment configuration problems with the net control station, we shifted the net to 147.480 MHz, operating simplex. We continued operation there until 3PM. We still had 3 operators, plus net control at the end of the net. There were eight operators at the peak of the exercise. During the net, we conducted roll calls and practiced relays.
